55 people were arrested in an Adana-based police operation in 5 different cities, Mersin, Kayseri, Osmaniye, and Şanlıurfa in addition to Adana, in which ‘wife-swappers’ were targeted in an illegal swingers party organisation, in which couples as well as singles were offered sexual activity in a luxury villa in return of money.
In total, 25 addresses were concurrently raided by the police, and the 55 people were arrested. 32 of them were released after being questioned while 23 people, 9 of whom females, were forwarded to court.
“I was hurt when my father asked me ‘What kind of daughter are you? You never financially support me!’… He needed money and I wanted to help him out. I accepted my husband’s offer and started participating in the groups,” commented one of the arrested women while she blamed her husband for persuading her to engage in the activity.
